Practise for telc B1 with realistic mock exams.
Take a complete mock exam under real timing and see if you'd pass, before exam day. Built for English-speaking learners in Germany.

Expats spend months learning German. Then they sit the exam and realize they've never practiced under real conditions — no timer, no real brief to write, no speaking task with a stranger grading them. Sitting the real exam format before the real exam is the difference. That's what PassGerman builds for you.
Three things the exam tests that textbooks don't.
Strict timing across every section
Every part of the telc B1 exam runs on a clock. Our simulator builds the pace you need so you finish with time to spare.
Writing corrections that explain
The Schriftlicher Ausdruck section is where most points are won or lost. PassGerman marks the errors in your letter, suggests clearer phrasing and explains every correction.
Sprachbausteine under time pressure
telc B1 has a grammar and vocabulary gap-fill section most textbooks barely touch. The simulator trains it in the exam's own style, against the clock.

Frequently Asked Questions about the B1 Exam
Everything you need to know about the exam and our simulator.
How realistic are the PassGerman mock exams?
Each mock exam follows the telc B1 written exam: the same parts, the same task types and the same timing, with an answer sheet and a running timer. The texts and audio are original and written by PassGerman, not copies of official telc exams.
What do I get for free?
One full telc B1 mock exam with reading, Sprachbausteine, listening with audio and writing, points for every section, checked against answer keys, and short corrections on your letter. No credit card needed.
How much does Premium cost?
€39.99, paid once, for 3 months of access to every PassGerman mock exam, full writing corrections and every answer explained. It's not a subscription, so nothing renews. If it isn't right for you, you get a full refund within 14 days.
How does PassGerman correct my writing?
In the exam email, PassGerman marks errors, suggests clearer phrasing and explains each correction. In practice mode, it translates words you select. Reading, Sprachbausteine and listening are checked against fixed answer keys. Your email also gets a practice score, so it counts towards your result. All scores are practice results, not an official grade, and PassGerman issues no certificates.
Can I pause and continue later?
Yes. Your answers save automatically, so you can stop and pick up where you left off, even on another device.
Is the speaking test included?
Not yet. The simulator currently covers reading, Sprachbausteine, listening and writing. Speaking practice is planned for a later version.
What is the difference between telc and Goethe?
Both are officially recognized German B1 exams. telc is often considered to have a slightly more structured writing part, while Goethe places more emphasis on spontaneous speaking. PassGerman currently prepares you for telc B1, with original mock exams built around its structure.
